Lina Ko

Lina Ko is one of North America’s pre-eminent marketing communications professionals, specializing in brand positioning and marketing. She has over 30 years of international consulting experience and has counselled clients in Asia, U.S.A. and Canada. Lina is the author of http://www.boomerwatch.ca, a blog providing Canadian and North American insights on marketing to baby boomers.  Her views on marketing have been reported in Canada’s leading media outlets including the CBC Fortune Hunters, BNN, The Globe and Mail, National Post, the Montreal Gazette, Investment Executive and Profit magazine among others.  Most recently, Lina was a Partner for 18 years at NATIONAL Public Relations, Canada’s largest public relations firm. Prior to that, she was a Vice President at Burson-Marsteller, a leading global public relations and communications firm.  Her experience in brand building and positioning spans three international markets: Hong Kong, U.S.A. and Canada.
 
Lina is a Past President of the American Marketing Association (Toronto Chapter).  She won a Gold Quill Award given by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). She is a sought after presenter, fluent in Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese and Shanghainese).   More recently, Lina was a keynote speaker on “Globalization of China Brands” at the Annual Famous Brands of China Conference in China.
