Richard Toker is a marketing consultant and educator, specializing in integrated brand through direct and digital channels.
Since launching Rich Content in 2008 he has worked on a diverse range of client projects from the development of a customer lifecycle eCRM program for Dell, to web site strategy and development for a Toronto non-profit organization and traffic-driving strategies and implementation for Swiss Chalet and Harvey’s.
Prior to starting Rich Content, Richard was Director, Direct and Interactive Marketing Communications at Rogers Wireless. And, prior to that, Richard spent almost 20 years in advertising at agencies Ogilvy & Mather, McCann Erickson, Cossette, Draft, and Bimm Communications Group.
As a consultant he brings insight in consumer and B2B marketing from experience on brands such as American Express, HP, IBM, HSBC, Pitney Bowes, Fuji, Goodyear, Lexus, Bell, Rogers, Telus, Ontario Lottery and Scotiabank.
Richard is passionate about helping marketers expand and improve their skills and realize their leadership potential. As a marketing educator and coach, Richard is a member of the CMA Education Committee, author and instructor of the Direct Marketing Certificate program and the Advanced Marketing Management program (Developing the Marketing Plan and Leading it to Success), and he has taught in the CAAP program at the Institute of Communication Agencies for more than 15 years, and at the York University Executive Development Program.
Richard has also has spoken at CMA events and has been a judge at the CMA Awards – one or two of which he has won over the years.
Richard is married with four kids and is an avid skier, cyclist and reader.
