Health Canada Invites Comments on Draft Rules for Vaping Products
Recently released draft rules would restrict where vaping advertisements can be displayed. Limitations cover point of sale, public places, broadcast media, and publications including social media and electronic platforms. Health Canada is considering requiring that advertisements include a health warning that would vary depending on whether the product contains nicotine and considering measures to restrict the display of vaping products at point of sale. Deadline for submissions is March 22, 2019.
