Throwback to Last Year’s Special Awards

As we wrap up our entry period for this year’s  CMA Virtual Awards Gala, we wanted to look back at last year’s winners and highlight some exciting new awards.

Back on November 22, 2019, our first special award of the evening was the Environics Analytics Data Marketing Award. This award focuses on the innovative use of data analytics in assisting marketers construct creative campaigns to reach their customers like never before.

New for 2019, we recognized a company that successfully navigated the challenges presented in the cannabis space to launch an innovative and memorable marketing campaign or initiative in the areas of education, research, launch or retail, while meeting all requirements of the Cannabis Act – both the letter and the intent of the law.

The Facebook Mobile Marketing Award honours any campaign that thinks "mobile first"—and then uniquely uses all the tech tools the social network has to offer.

We’re looking forward to this year’s submissions as we once again feature these awards, and new this year we are excited to add two new special awards: 

  • The Canada Post Integrated Marketing Award recognizes strategy, creativity and results as achieved in an integrated marketing campaign that includes the specific channel of direct mail. With this award our judges are looking for the most outstanding integrated marketing execution of the year.
  • The LinkedIn B2B Marketing Award rewards brands and agencies that leverage the world’s largest professional community to capture attention and drive business results in a business-to-business setting. For this award our judges will consider campaigns in terms of their use of strategy, creativity, LinkedIn’s products and campaign results.
