For 20 years Scott has used his expertise in data, research, and creative content services to drive revenue for media sales groups. Since joining Captivate in 2009, he has helped the company grow to become a leader in the digital media industry focused on data-driven solutions and thought leadership. He has built a world-class, sales-oriented marketing organization, spearheaded product innovation, developed leading workplace research panels, and led the industry in the use of location-based data.
Since taking over all marketing-related activities for Captivate in 2014, Scott has doubled the marketing team, developed a local content strategy and launched multiple new product solutions. In addition, he spearheaded Marketing Automation and lead-generation efforts, which has contributed to over 30% in year-over-year revenue growth for the company.
In his early years at Captivate, Marden built Office Pulse, Captivate’s research panel of 8,000 professionals in the US and Canada. Office Pulse insights have been featured on NBC News, MSN, Fast Company, Accuweather, FORBES, WSJ, USA Today and many other outlets.
Barb Huggett (Moderator)
With over 25 years of experience in business development, media strategy and client relations, Barb is a business leader who excels at connecting brands with their most valuable audiences. Her role is grounded in her abilities as a relationship builder focused on collaborative partnerships that deliver unique, integrated campaigns to achieve client success.
During her time at Captivate, Barb has been instrumental in creating a customer centric culture, developing and executing strategic, operational and policy initiatives to enhance the contribution and effectiveness of the Canadian operation. Prior to her current role at Captivate, Barb held progressively senior roles with advertising agencies and digital-out-of-home providers.
Brenda Woods is the Vice President of Marketing for Visa in Canada, responsible for leading all aspects of Visa marketing to support the achievement of business and brand objectives. She is also an active member of the North America Marketing Leadership team and the Canada Leadership team.
Brenda has more than 30 years of marketing and brand management experience. During her time at Visa, she has overseen the development of successful marketing programs including the “Visa. Everywhere You Want to Be” campaign and has led the activation of the Toronto International Film Festival the Olympic Games and FIFA.
With 20 years experience in marketing and communications, Marianne Arnaudon is Assistant Vice-President, Marketing Planning & Operations at Sun Life. In her role, she works with senior Marketing leaders across Canada, Asia and the US, to help define and execute a cohesive Sun Life Marketing plan and strategy, providing expertise in planning and executing marketing programs to deliver on brand and business objectives. In her role, Marianne is also responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance Sun Life’s approach to B2C and B2B marketing programs and strategic synergies in how Sun Life goes to market. Lastly, she and her team work on elevating the Marketing Operations practices to ensure Marketing processes are delivered with the appropriate visibility, budget, pacing, and project oversight.
Prior to this, Marianne held the role of Director, Global Partnerships where she was responsible for consulting with Sun Life’s global marketing teams in activating brand partnerships, sponsorships and philanthropic initiatives. Most notably, she worked on Sun Life’s sponsorship of the Toronto Raptors, including the Dunk for Diabetes grassroots program, as well as helping recast Sun Life’s global philanthropic strategy to deepen Sun Life’s impact in the community.
Martin Fecko has spent his career being an digital innovator and leading teams to success in the fin-tech, cloud SaaS, banking and payment businesses. With decades of deep digital, mobile and brand development expertise, Martin leads Tangerine’s innovative approaches to reaching and engaging Canadians in all the solutions offered by Canada’s #1 Digital Bank.
Prior to joining Tangerine in December 2019, Martin spent nearly four years at Intuit following over a decade at American Express. At Intuit, Martin led the Operations for the QuickBooks, TurboTax and Mint businesses as Country Manager for Canada, while also running Marketing for Intuit’s Small Business, Self-employed and Accountant Group, delivering substantial growth in the cloud subscriber base. Earlier on in his career, he also spent several years in Marketing for CIBCs credit card services division.
