During the webinar Commission staff will provide insight on how investigations are prioritized; how the complaints help drive that prioritization; and, lastly share some of their enforcement experiences to date. Commission staff will also discuss a few key compliance issues that have surfaced as a result their investigations, and provide where possible, some interpretation on these issues. They will also provide general CASL compliance advice to marketers, and a look ahead at future enforcement strategies and tactics following July 1, 2017.
Participants will be informed of any new or expected guidance material Commission staff can share from their experience enforcing cases since July 1, 2014. Businesses will also have a platform to ask questions. This is always a good opportunity for the Commission to hear about what concerns or needs the marketing industry may have. It allows the CRTC staff to focus our future guidance material on what matters to CMA members.
