Ethics and Standards Committee
The CMA Ethics and Standards Committee oversees development of CMA’s framework of industry self-regulation, in particular the Canadian Marketing Code of Ethics & Standards, and related best practices and compliance guides. The Committee provides advice to assist the public policy and advocacy work of the Association and helps to educate and promote awareness of the Code of Ethics & Standards.
The Committee focuses on issues that affect trust in the marketplace, like anti-spam and CASL, consumer protection, marketing to children and youth, deceptive advertising, fraud prevention and more.

Postal Relations Committee
As needed, the CMA's Postal Relations Committee provides an important forum through which the direct marketing industry, including Canada Post officials, meet to discuss all aspects of the marketing mail process in an impartial, collaborative, and confidential environment.
The Committee provides a collaborative forum to identify and discuss marketing mail process improvement opportunities brought forward by marketers, Canada Post, agencies, and mail service providers. It also acts as a conduit for Canada Post to update CMA Members regarding upcoming rate increases, product launches, or amendments. Finally, the Committee acts as a confidential industry sounding board for future Canada Post initiatives.
Members need to demonstrate extensive experience in a senior direct marketing management and/or ethical and legal compliance role. They are selected based on how their expertise may be applied in the context of current priorities of the Committee.
