Continued support for CMA Members During COVID-19

The well-being of our members, employees, volunteers and event attendees continues to be a top priority for the CMA team.

In response to recommendations from government and public health officials that all Canadians self-isolate in order to contain the spread of COVID-19, the CMA is announcing the following:

Professional support to our Members

All CMA staff are working remotely from home. Our staff remain fully available during business hours, and we will continue to provide a complete range of professional support and services to our members. Fortunately, we have had a partial work-from-home policy for the past two years, so we are well-equipped to shift on short notice to this environment on a full-time basis.

Developing new ways to meet your learning needs

We know that for some of you, this is an extremely busy time. Others might find they have fewer demands in the current climate – or at least, some peaks and valleys. Take advantage of our opportunities for online offerings to focus on your continued professional growth. We continue to offer our full complement of online courses and webinars, including courses towards the Chartered Marketer designation and learning opportunities on our CMA NXT platform. We also have some new ideas in development, so stay tuned!

The CMA is dedicated to the success of learners in all our professional development programs. We recognize that learners in online courses may be facing unique challenges at work and at home at this time. Therefore, for learners in programs that are underway, we have extended the timeline for completing some assignments. (Learners: please see specific course home pages for details.) 

Rescheduling In-Person Experiences

We will reschedule all in-person experiences that were planned for March and April, including our Morning Event Series, in-person seminars, and CMA Cafés. All currently registered attendees for upcoming in-person events and seminars have been notified. Where postponements have occurred, registrants will be contacted with new dates which will be confirmed once government officials indicate that normal business and meeting practices can resume.

Council and Committee meetings will be held through video conference.
